Adam turns 2!

We sure love this little boy....he's a handful though!

I'm not sure why we let him have free reign on the cake like that while we're standing there singing to him. It must be because we have a   6 week old and we are still sleep deprived.  Because seriously while we were singing I didn't really realize he was doing this. I'm more tired than I know. wonderful.

Emma's third Birthday on Easter Sunday

It is hard to believe that it has been three years already that our dear Emma was born. The years will pass, but the memories of her will forever remain strong. This year her birthday fell on Easter Sunday. How Appropriate that we celebrate Emma's Birth and Christ's Resurrection together. How grateful we are that the tomb was found empty. The Savior Lives. What a blessing this knowledge is. We anxiously look forward to the time when we will all be together with Emma as an Eternal Family. We love her and enjoyed the day celebrating her precious life and the life of our Savior.

We made her a birthday table this morning.

After church we went and visited her grave. It was nice decorating her grave as a family and Adam really enjoyed learning how to blow the flower wheels with his dad.

I am really starting to look big. We are excited to be welcoming our second daughter in July.

Then we went and visited Grandpa and Grandma Ashton's grave. I think it is appropriate that a little redheaded great-grand child is sitting on their grave stone. :)

Finding their Easter Eggs and Baskets

This year Adam had a fun time collecting Easter eggs with James and Craig. They were pretty excited to find their Easter Baskets. Craig was so happy that the Easter Bunny actually came(video below). Thanks mom for being a good Easter Bunny :)

This is how Adam looks when we tell him to say cheese for the camera. Maybe we shouldn't tell him to say cheese. ;)

Adam's off to go find some eggs

Little James just sat looking at his basket. He was cute.

It was funny how the boys were interested more in each others baskets, even though they had the same things in all of them.

Fourth of July

This year We went down to Provo again so Alex could run in the Freedom Run 5k. It was really fun though because Ardie did it with him this year. Mindy, kirsten, and I saw them cross the finish line and they both had good times. There were thousands of runners, which made it kind of crazy but it was enjoyable and Alex liked the shirt better than last years.

"Seriously? This is why you pulled me out of my crib at 5AM this morning?"

After the run we headed over to University Ave. for the parade. Camie and Richard were nice and saved some seats for us. Adam was cute in his litte outfit and his hat made him look like a little sailor. the first half was nice because it was overcast, but then the sun came out and we had to move under the trees. Parades aren't super exciting to me anymore, but if you are going to go to one, the Provo parade is the one you want to go to. They had some pretty neat floats this year. Afterwards we went to the park and had a picnic.

After we got back to Murray we had a barbecue that evening with Lindsay and Nate. Alex revived his grill and made us some hamburgers. The three boys were so cute when they played on the blanket. We wish Mindy and Kirsten could have been with us too.

Nate made Dutch oven Upside down cake. It was yummy!

It was a fun forth of July spent with family.
